About Avendaño & Jambe

After 15 years of experience working with one another, Lindsay Jambe and Susan Avendaño have founded their partnership, Avendaño & Jambe Tax Services.  With combined experience of over 50 years in bookkeeping and tax preparation experience, Lindsay and Susan are a well-balanced team whose different skills, strengths, and experience complement each other.

About Susan

Susan has been working with individual and small business owners for over 35 years.  Throughout her career she has built a reputation for accuracy, integrity and personalized service.  Her long-standing relationships with clients reflect a strong commitment to trust and reliability.  In addition to tax preparation, she also assists with bookkeeping, year-end projections and year-round tax planning.  She has worked with many types of small businesses, including doctors, dentists, landlords, contractors and other professionals.

Susan is married and has two adult children.  She enjoys reading, taking day trips to Santa Barbara and spending time with family.

About Lindsay

Lindsay is a skilled professional who has been working in the accounting industry since 2009 and has been preparing tax returns since 2014. Her experience in bookkeeping and tax return preparation covers many industries, including real estate, professional services, trusts, and estates.

She is proficient in Quicken and QuickBooks. She prepares tax returns for individuals and businesses including sole proprietorships, LLCs, corporations and partnerships. Although most of her clients are in California, she works with clients in many other states such as Alaska, Nevada, New York, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington and more. Her fiduciary and attorney connections have provided ample experience for preparing trust and estate Form 1041 tax returns, including special needs trusts. She also has experience with preparing Federal returns for non-resident U.S. citizens living abroad. She has extensive experience with Form 114 to report foreign bank accounts. She is very familiar with reporting regulations for rental real estate and Form 8824 to report Section 1031 Like-Kind Exchanges.

Lindsay appreciates a wide range of music and is a fan of Lord of the Rings. Her favorite thing to do to relax is read and cuddle with her dog. Her most challenging goal is to find a balance between a rewarding career and pursuing personal fulfillment. She dreams of one day traveling around the world and experiencing other cultures.
